Class Descriptions

GENTLE: Our gentlest class offers a slow meditational experience. It includes stretching, strengthening and balancing exercises. It is excellent for beginners, seniors, and people with chronic pain or rehabing from disease or injury.

LEVEL 1: Appropriate for beginners and those wanting a slower paced class. Basic postures with a focus on breath and proper alignment will be taught.

LEVEL 1-2: Take your practice to the next level. Invigorating and energetic class detoxifying the entire system this class includes sun salutations, prep poses for backbends, inversions, arm balances building more stamina, strength, flexibility and concentration.

KUNDALINI: Combining breath, movement and mantra Kundalini yoga cleanses body, mind/spirit for health happiness and prosperity.

IYENGAR: A system of yoga emphasizing precision and sequence to cultivate a strong and flexible body and a calm peaceful mind.

RESTORATIVES: This class will guide you through a series of restorative poses, which are deeply relaxing poses designed to reduce stress, tension, and fatigue. Props are used to support and comfort your body, open your chest, and gently stretch your hips, back, and neck as you rest in the poses. You will emerge from this class restored, renewed, and ready to face the new week.

PRENATAL: Breathing, meditation and yoga postures to compliment the three tri-mesters of pregnancy preparing body and mind for birth.

YOGA /ABS (POST NATAL) This class is open to everyone. Postnatal students are encouraged to come to this class. The focus will not only be yoga but getting the abs back in shape. This is not a fast paced aerobic style class instead the class will be paced /geared towards the needs of the students. (Mom's are welcome to bring their baby's up to 7 months).

COMMUNITY These classes are discounted classes typically taught by our advanced Teacher Trainees. They are Intermediate level classes.1-2.

PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION: When you really need to de-stress, relax your body and renew your spirit YOGA YOGA offers private yoga instruction tailored to your needs.

FIRST TIME ? When coming to a yoga class wear comfortable clothing, tights or sweat pants, sport top or a t-shirt is fine. (Yoga is done in bare feet.)

  • Please refrain from eating a meal 2-3 hours before class.
  • If you are hungry eat light, some fruit or juice is appropriate.
  • Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes, oils or aftershaves.
  • Yoga helps to release toxins, drink plenty of water after class to help detoxify your body.
  • Try to arrive a 5-10 minutes before class begins.
  • Enjoy your yoga practice and appreciate the time you spend on yourself, your health, and your happiness.
