Kids’ yoga teaches breathing techniques, poses, meditation and character building in a fun and safe environment.  Teamwork, empathy, focus, self esteem, and relaxation are woven into every class.  Kids learn yoga through games, activities, crafts, and exploration.

 

$40.00/month per child due on the first Tuesday of the month

Kim has spent her entire career working with children. Whether it has been as a camp counselor, camp activity specialist, teacher’s assistant, or a classroom teacher, she has dedicated her life to working with children and helping them find the power inside themselves to be the best they can be.  After 14 years teaching in a local Santa Clarita school, she decided to take time to be a stay at home mom to her two children.  This is when her love of yoga grew beyond the weekly yoga classes.  She became passionate about finding peace and acceptance in her own life through her yoga practice and this drew her to enrolling in a 200 hour teacher training.  She had the privilege of learning from Dani Ibarra and Jackie Roberts.  Kim then decided to take her calling to teach others to a new level and share this wonderful gift with others. 

Kim is passionate about sharing her love of yoga with others.  Her intent is to help others accept themselves right where they are, find peace in a hectic world, and continue to grow as people as well as in their practice. 

While Kim thoroughly enjoys teaching yoga to adults, she has been able to combine her passion for working with children with her passion for yoga and has been teaching yoga to children in the SCV for the past year.  As a teacher, she saw firsthand how fast paced and stressful childhood could be and knew yoga could be the very thing they need.  She teaches children how to slow down, breathe, accept themselves, try new things, and take care of their bodies through the practice of asanas, games, songs and relaxation techniques.  She has taught yoga to kids from grades 1-7 and has found that kids of all ages benefit from it.
